The Monarchs design is a concept born from our Sports & Athletics capsule — a symbol of identity, pride, and reclamation. The Monarchs represent our official team logo, a collective reclaiming what was once taken from us. Through this design, we are redefining and reinventing what a national Black sports league could look like — one rooted in Black ownership.

At the heart of this capsule is a tribute to the Kansas City Monarchs, one of the most iconic teams from the Negro Baseball League. The name “Monarchs” was intentionally chosen to represent our sports division — a name rich in legacy, resilience, and excellence. Jackie Robinson began his professional journey with the KC Monarchs before breaking barriers in Major League Baseball. In our design process, we imagined ourselves continuing that legacy.
